This thread has been helpful to me as well. My health is fine but I am grappling with annual fees which will hit at the end of the month for my husband, at the same time that I am continuing to open cards for myself.

Can someone just verify the Chase cards that accumulate/can hold UR points? From the above, it appears Chase Freedom does. And the plain vanilla Sapphire does too, correct? So if I want to downgrade my husband's CSP I could ask to switch it to either of those?

Or I could move his UR points to his Ink Bold? I plan to apply for the CSP for myself with the fee waived for the first year, so don't want to pay for his CSP. And if I move his points to his Ink Bold, can they be moved again if I decide to close it when its fee comes due in June?

One thing to consider, though, is that the Ink Bold comes with two Lounge Club passes per year per authorized signer. This was quite handy when we had a 6 hour layover on our last trip, after an international flight of 11 hours. It is worth $29 per entry. So the $95 fee in future years would get us - the two authorized signers on his Ink Bold card - $116 worth of lounge visits. Not having status on any carriers and not paying for CC's that come with lounge access, this is a great perk and a reason, at least to me, to keep the Bold even when the fee kicks in.

To the OP - hope you continue to feel better!

A good explanation of UR points - also follow the links to posts comparing Chase Freedom and CSP.
