How to pay down CL quickly?
ACH push from other banks to wells fargo checking and then use that to pay credit card

Likely to get shut down if...?
- Have a negative balance
- Have a really high balance
- Cycling several times through your CL
- Calling in and getting caught by human eyes for suspicious activities.

To check what your 5X/5% window is:
In the rewards account, go to My Rewards -> Account Activity and the days left on the promo will show up at the top....looks like a pie chart.

To check which transactions get 5X/5% before your statement posts
Now, to check if new transactions are eligible for 5X before statement closes, go to "My Rewards" on the top and click "Activity" and set the start/end dates. You should see a "bonus earning" for 4% extra cash back for anything that's eligible.

Caps on 5x / 5%??
There are no more caps.

What to do when transaction not going through due to FA?
Human @ fraud prevention line is 877-575-0462 (to verify charges if locked out) (Update 3-3-15 - Phone number no longer in service per this post)
Automated response number was 800-446-0664

Man, I was just about to apply for this card.

Wells fargo keeps sending me offers with bonuses... BUT win CVS cutting Vanillas... the giftcards are just too much work when the stoopid kiosks never work...

OneVanillas are the option

Applied a checking account today with $100 bonus offer. During the process of application, the CC offer popped up. The nice lady asked me if I want to accept this pre-approved offer. Yes. Certainly The offer has additional $100 bonus for $1000 spending in 3 months + all the 5% goodies. CC was instantly approved with 15k CL. A very happy day.

Well I opened it and it said since I am one of their most valued card holders, and have spent over $50k on the card, I'm now going to receive an additional 0.35% on all purchases for the next 6 months. (Also waiving foreign currency conversion fees.) Guess I'll be making 5.35% back my last month with this card.
I got this same letter yesterday, and thought the same thing. Only problem is that I didn't spend $50k, more like $25k. Thinking the letter was sent in error, at least to me. Just hoping I get my remaining 1.5 months of rewards

I called to get a CLI today. I got a "we are continuing to evaluate your CLI and will get back to you in ten days" line. Is this like CC apps where that line usually means denial?

An FYI, got denied tonight at CVS for 2 VR (last two on the rack as well, and they were minutes from closing). Website said temporary restriction was in place. Called in, and it was only a standard fraud check. My first one so far. I did use Isis, dunno if that is considered more risky or whatnot. Need to hit my 20% rebate for the month.

I read that it's an immediate available credit limit when paying from WF acct. Is it awesome immediate if paying your bill with cash at branch? I know this may seem obvious but I don't trust them since they like to hold on credit limit after payment posts.

Anyone with experience using WM Billpay to pay WF Card? If so, how long for payment to post and free up credit line?

I think it's in the wiki. CL seems to free up next day. CL increases before you actually see the payment post to the account.
Edit: by wiki, I meant the Wm billpay wiki.

Got bumped up to $6k. Took a hard pull, but did it same day as activating the card when it came in the mail.

Costco is the best!!!

You can get max cashback of $60 from any type of debit card. Additionally, if you are not happy with a purchase, you can return it and get cash.

Example: I buy a tablet and pay with a debit card ( any type of debit card from OM or Staples or CVS...etc). I get a cashback of $60 with my tablet purchase. When I get home, my wife is not happy with my purchase and tells me to return it. I return my tablet to Costco and get cash for the return (Costco only process AMEX).

You have to pay a membership fee to do this. However, after 11 months ask for a full refund of your membership fee. Easy Peesy

How is this even remotely related to the WF card? Furthermore, there are easier ways to liquidate a few hundred dollars than 2 trips to Costco
