Does FF Number need to match credit card application?
 
I have 60,000 AA points. Can my wife apply for the 40,000 AA card and put down my FF # so I would have an even 100,000 instead of 60 and 40?

I've always assumed the answer was no for all banks/cards. But earlier this year, I applied for a VX Visa for myself and my wife and accidentally entered my elevate number on both apps. All points have posted to my account with no issue.

That said, I'd still assume the answer is no from Citi until I hear otherwise.
