Unless your INK Cash account is very old, it actually earns Ultimate Rewards points. These points can be redeemed for cash at the fixed rate $0.01 each, but there are other ways to redeem which may deliver more .

For example, if you also held a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you could transfer the points earned with the INK Cash card to the Reserve card and redeem for travel at $0.015 per point. That would increase the value by 50% with no change in spending. Alternately, the points could be transferred from Reserve to airline frequent flyer programs where they might be worth more.

How many employees have cards on the INK account?

It is a fairly new account and four of us have cards. I looked at our statements to see that we earned about $28,000 worth of rewards last year. At our spend rate I think we're best going with a card that gives 2% towards travel on everything. Even with the the $995 annual fee I think we'd come out way ahead with the Gold MasterCard. The difference between 1.5% and 2% at our current spend rate is a difference of about $12,500 per year in rewards.

INK Cash is a business card product. Each of the four cards has a unique card number. This makes it easy to track expenses , and if one card is lost, damaged or compromised the others continue to work. Most MasterCard or VISA issuers use the same number for all cards issued on a personal account, and these benefits are lost. As far as I know, Gold Luxury Card is a personal card product.

There are several 2% cash back cards from other issuers with much lower annual fees. Why are you leaning toward the Gold Luxury Card?

Thanks for your feedback. The point of four different card numbers is a decent one. Being able to track expenses based on user doesn't matter.
The other 2% cards I've looked at either effect your personal credit because of how they report, or they only allow the rewards to be used as statement credits.

I'm trying to find the best card to use for travel rewards redemption. I think the answer is the Gold Luxury MasterCard, which would result in around 50k per year in travel rewards. Anything else I should consider?
I’d love to have 2.5M a year of UR or MR points to transfer to partner airlines to fly international F and J flights. No worries about looking for saver awards

Do you have reason to believe that this card does not report balances to personal credit bureaus?

That's what I read somewhere but now I'm questioning that.

I'd say Amex business platinum if you have a lot of charges over $5k, and you will receive an invitation for business Centurion card later, or Spark Cash. Amex SPG business card would be also good choice. Chase FU would be good as well, but not sure how Chase will look at those high charges on a personal card.

When I saw the title, I thought this is to discuss the cards which would earn high spending bonus. But it it not. We mostly talk about the cards that earn high rewards. I'd like to know what cards that would earn the best bonus on high spending. I know quite a few of them. But like to earn more.

For my business purchases over $5K I use my Amex Bus Plat for the 5X If it's airfare over $5K booked on Amex travel then it's even more points. Can't beat that earning rate.

Please feel free to start a new section in the wiki with what you know. I would also be interested in that topic.

Yes, quite a few CCs can earn you airline and hotel status or bonus by spending like $30,000 or $50,000 a year. I'll add some when I get chance. They are very valuable.

Question CSR or Bank Of America Premium Rewards w/PH for a big spend?

I just got both the cards and minimum spend for the bonus is not an issue.
I have a a bill for 14K coming up and i need help with which card to use. - With respect to rewards redemption.

With BofA PR w/PH i get 2.625%, so as per the card reviews its a no brainier - but "Points are always worth 1 cent each and can be redeemed for a statement credit or award travel in the Bank of America Travel Center" (Forbes - Is the Bank of America Premium Rewards Better than the Sapphire Reserve and Amex Platinum Cards)

On CSR - Points are worth 1.5 cents each when booked for travel on Chase or transferred to a Chase Ultimate Rewards travel partner
Which card should i use for the 14K tax payment ?
Should it be all on one of the card or some ratio ?

If you just compare the two, the BA PR w/ PH outperforms the CSR. The CSR only get 1 UR point with non-category spending. It is only worth $0.015 at its travel portal, or about $0.022/UR if transferred to partners.

A lot people use Chase Freedom Unlimited since it earns 1.5 UR points, more than the CSR. Personally I used my AmEx SPG card for tax and other non-category spending. I like to stockpile SPG points for Amtrak and Marriott hotel+airline package.

Thank you for the clear explanation. I just applied for starwood and got approved...so i will use that to pay part of the tax. I have been travelling a lot but keeping the cost low with airbnb....Startwood/marriott/ritz sounds better.
Also as per a lot of news sources the card might not be there after 2018...so a sweet deal to get points. ...I think i will split evenly between the 2.

Since you have a starwood card - do you know if the unused points wills stay on the starwood account if they end the card program ?
thanks
