Help with Amex gift card
 

I bought a $3k amex gift card to reach minimum spending on one of my credit cards. I was under the assumption I could transfer it to a bluebird card and get my money back with a week or so to pay for my card. I tried loading it on my bluebird but it failed.
Is there a way to to do this?
As of now, I got 1k back via amazon payments. Is there any other way I could transfer the remaining $2k?

No, you cannot load amex gift cards directly onto bluebird. You need another step to get to bluebird. You could use your amex gift card to purchase vanilla reloads if you can find them and then dump it onto bluebird.
