Barclays MC. Points, not miles.

Targeted offer. No sign-up bonus. 0% intro APR, but I don't care - always pay in full. 2 x points for gas, grocery & utilities. I cannot tell from the Barclays site what a point is worth.

My inclination is to decline the honor. Anyone have a different take on the Barclays offer?

Is it an "Arrival" card? If so, there is a thread on it somewhere - I'd link it but they re-organized the credit card threads and I didn't see it handy. A bunch of the blogs also list the details.

If your offer is the Arrival card then yes, it is points, not miles. The value varies significantly based on redemption.

If it is the Arrival card the discussion is here:

Nowhere on the ad does it say "Arrive." Thanks for the pointer to the Arrive thread. My offer seems even wimpier than Arrive. Into the shredder.

This sounds like the Barclays MC Rewards. They usually give a bonus of about $50.

A point is 1c statement credit, so it is 2% in those categories. Since barclays also has Priceline, which (when ordered from Priceline) gives 2% everywhere, there is little point to this card.

Based on the OP's description of where the 2point categories are, yes.
