I don't even touch my debit card anymore. Everything goes on my CC for points/miles.

I don't know first-hand yet - just got mine. I have been told debit purchases with a pin does earn miles, but I've also heard that loading Bluebird (with pin) does not.

Not anymore, unless they recently reinstated the offer.

I've heard mixed things. When I call BoA, the CSRs (multiple) have said "we still have the Alaska card, go into a branch and tell the employee to call us if they can't find it on the computer."

Then, I go into the bank. Lady at the bank shows me her monitor to the list of options for debit cards. No Alaska. Only an Alaska cc.

Just got my Suntrust Debit. I'm curious about what exactly does and doesn't earn miles. I've done some test purchases this month and am interested to see the results.

The Suntrust site mentions that automatic billpay earns miles. Tried doing a one-time billpay payment to see if it earns miles. If it does, that opens a lot of new possibilities.

(Sidenote: guess it's finally time to dig through the Suntrust SkyMiles Debit thread)

Just got mine as well. We shall see. Love to pay some bills and get some more miles now that I am centurion/DM.

The types of "Automatic billpay" transactions ST gives miles for are those that go on the debit card. For example, if you pay your wireless or cable bill by charging to your debit card. Payments sent from the "Billpay" function on the website, or automatic debits by a vendor (like a utility or credit card company) do not.

It would be very helpful if you would you report back on whether you actually get the AS debit card? Thanks very much.

I just received the card a few days ago after my requesting it less than 2 weeks ago.

I have the AS debit card too. The $30 annual fee does suck, although I think there's a 3k miles sign-up bonus? Which works out to $0.01 CPM, and then everything on top is a bonus of reg. spending, so at least for the first year it's not a bad deal.

Sad that US Airways discontinued their version of the debit card w/ BoA (they at least prorated the fee and refunded $10). I hope AS sticks around for a while.

Yes, for purchasing MO at grocery stores, as well as other purchases with or without PIN.

Yup, but they sure are trying to kill debit cards in the US. When do they come to murder credit cards too?
