i keep them in an old usps flat rate box and stick my hand in there sometimes and move it around, i enjoy the hard feel of the giftcards and reloads against my hand in contrast to the soft feel of the big receipts and small activation slips.

Lots of them, so cutting them is not an option.

Throw old GC's on floor of truck and pick them up for trash can at gas station or leave in trash can at WM or in my garbage pail under my desk.

What the difference does a used GC care where it lays it is DEAD

CDs/DVDs, credit cards, junk mail whole (don't have to open envelope). I was tired of the wimpy little ones that overheat or make you open up junk mail because they choke when the envelope has more than a couple pages in it.

In a box waiting for the day that I'll have time to glue them onto a wall of fame.

check Best Buy - my local store has a bin in the front for recycling gift cards, next to the bin for recycling electronics.

I am using mine to build a house.
If you have surplus let me know, perhaps I can put on an addition before it all comes crashing down.

My football fan buddies are kinda outta control with their bets, so every time I have 19 completely drained gift cards I buy another $100 one and throw them all in a hat. $10 each gets them a chance to pick a card, any card. At first I thought I'd need to invite 20 of them over to the house but they're so bad at math they love to play multiple times per person.

Near Christmas time, I'm so generous I'll leave $15 or so on one of the bad ones instead of completely draining it.
