Will cc upgrade affect credit score
 
I have been thinking of upgrading my AmEx Hilton to the Surpass card. As I am already an AmEx card holder, will they do a hard pull on my FICO? I just got the Chase Sapphire and don't want any more hits on my credit for the next few months as we will be needing to take out a loan.

You should be able to log on to Amex website and see your offers. If you have the offer to upgrade you will not get a hard pull. If the offer is not there, call. CS will tell you while you are on the phone if they can upgrade without pulling credit. If accounts are in good standing most likely you are good, but it does not hurt to ask. If you don't want to call, e mail. I am amazed but Amex responds to e mails usually within hours and can handle just about anything, then you have it in writing.
