Ryan, any idea on links, etc where we can sign up for the deals you mention?

Did you apply from a link here or did you(holding my breath) call them?

I just applied today for 8 cards. The last one I applied for was the US Airways card. I had one since 5/12 and figured with all the posts it would be safe. After talking with the CSR and telling him that I wanted to separate expenses he stated that you could only have one of these cards at a time and denied me!

hang up, call again.

There is already a master credit card sign ups thread.

Well, actually, if you haven't looked at it, the master thread is of "special" offers, rather than "all" offers. So it already does that partially:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...er-thread.html (in MilesBuzz!)

It doesn't rank them, but it does provide a starting point for seeing what's around right at this moment (it gets updated as offers get added and as offers expire or are withdrwan). Post 1 has the list that gets updated; the rest of the thread is unimportant (except for history of offers, perhaps) except the latest posts show what changed most recently.

The top 5 offers are not absoute. What is most useful is to get enough miles and points to do something. Applying for a supposedly "top" offer of 70k miles from an ailrine where you have no miles and are not likely to get more miles and the only use you would have would be in 100k mile increaements is not likely to be a top 5 offer for you, but might be for someone who already collects miles with that airlikne in other means and so can top off that 70k to 100k easily. A "top" offer for a hotel program card for a hotel program which does not have properties in the places you travel may be useless to you, even though it may be of great use to someone else who travels to other places.

Thus you can make your own top 5 list, but I don't know if it makes sense to make a top 5 list that covers everyone (especially since these offers come and go constantly, and since the "special" offers list already exiss in the thread I linked).

Everything you said is true. My top 5 would be different than yours because we are from different areas of the country. The West coast has different strengths than the Midwest! Probably 2-3 would over lap but it's impossible to make a list, that's why the Master thread is is the place to go.

Also, 55k UA is gone. It has been decreased to 30k and the trick with having a few miles in your MileagePlus account isn't working anymore. However, people have been reporting that you can still apply for 55k UA by going to Chase branch.

Definitely try again before settling for the 30K offer or making the trip to a Chase branch. The new link recently posted at the end of that thread is working now. For some reason nothing but 30K was working (for me) yesterday but today, can see the 50K plus offer. Don't use chrome browser, clear your cache, use the link posted today, enter your MP account (make sure you have miles in your acct) - it should work and take you to the 50K+ landing page. I am not MP silver or any special status, I just joined MP a few weeks ago and have only a few points in my account earned from dining awards offer...
