Any CC allowing primary cardholder & rewards acct to differ (or be shared)?

Looking for a rewards credit card where the credit account is opened under one name, but the rewards are deposited to an additional cardholder's account, or possibly to a shared rewards program account.

For example, Person A opens a JW Hiltwood MasterVisa in their name, and Person B is placed on the account as an additional cardholder. But the 999,000-point signing bonus, monthly hotel point rewards, elite status, upgrade certificates, etc. all go to Person B. A variation would be that the rewards go into a joint rewards account that A & B both share (but they are not married, so it can't be based on a spousal relationship).

I used hotels as an example, but this could be an airline or generic points program.

Does anyone know of any card or rewards program that allows this?

Personally, I just want the 999,000 bonus ;)

sounds like the best option is the ultimate rewards program...where everyone can share points...

Or amex MR since you can transfer the points into anyone's account

British airlines house hold account.

FOX85 is not really correct. While you can transfer points from an Amex MR account to someone else's frequent traveler account:
  • This is not an official feature of the program - they could rescind the ability to do that.
  • Consider the case where A and B both have MR accounts, but B wants to cancel their last Amex card. They might prefer to have Amex points in A's account, but they will have to use them in some way before B cancels their account, or lose them.

I had a weird experience about a year ago. My father, who had no Amex cards, got an Amex gold biz card, with me as an AU. Amex assigned his points to my MR account. That actually was quite alright with us, since the whole purpose of getting the card in the first place was to add to my account. But I have no idea how it happened. I once asked Amex at the time we opened a card in my wife's name if they would do the same thing, and they said no.

However, you can transfer the MR points to pretty much any linked account for the likes of Hyatt, BA, Delta, etc. Often with decent transfer bonuses.

I recently tried to transfer points to my wife's Hyatt Gold Passport account from my Diners Club card. Diners Club allows this but it did not go through. I was told by Hyatt that they only accepted transfers from the primary credit card account holder into that same person's Hyatt Gold Passport account.
