Some online card applications won't work for me, because first name is single letter.
Hi
i am having problems applying online for credit cards with some companies because I have a single letter as my first name. Think G Gordon Liddy or H Ross Perot for example. My 1st name is just one letter and it isn't short for anything.
When I enter my first name into the box it won't let the application go through because it said the first name box must have at least 2 letters!! This has happened to me with Chase applications and others.
What should I do? I can't help it if my first name is just 1 letter. I go by my middle name which is a normal name but unfortunately this is hurting me when I am applying for credit cards.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Put your First and Middle into the first name field.
There is no requirement to match up with your government ID exactly. It is not uncommon for people with names originally from other language and cultures to not fit exactly in the fields.
As long as you keep it consistent you will be fine.
