Need Help with picking which cards...
Hi All,
This form has been great helping me and now I would like to offer advice to my parents about which card would be best for their needs Background - 65 years old, retired.. income over 500,000 per year.. credit score around 800. Travel- Most of their travel is oversees.. This year they have been to China, Japan, Russia, England. Would like to be able to use their points for first class upgrades on their trips..and no foreign transaction fee. They also are big cruisers and cruise 4 to 5 times a year around different areas of the world. Current cards that they have for years and years.. Citi AA Delta American Express Capital One... Any suggestion which cards would be good for them... Thanks |
I'd probably go with the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the AMEX Platinum. The CSP has no foreign transaction fee, great rewards (2x on travel and dining). The Platinum for Lounge access and other travel perks. It's hefty annual fees between the two of them (about $550), but for the benefits and income, I'd definitely say it's worth it.
UR points transferred to UA, of course. What airlines do they fly most? |
They fly mostly Delta because they have Medallion Status with them.
