No new post in over a year, so I am assuming this isn't a really popular CC option. I have been thinking about downgrading my Premium Rewards card to this one and want to find out how easy/hard it is to redeem points against "travel" charges. Thanks in advance to anyone who has recent experiences.

Not really. I usually don't have to pay for checked bags or buy foods onboard. I can't really use AA GCs so I find it difficult to break even on the AF. Do things like parking (airport or other), road tolls, etc. count as "travel" for point redemption in your experience? What about plane tickets or hotels booked through third parties (ie: Orbitz or even traditional travel agencies)? TIA.
