PERSONAL CARDS
30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...s-credit-card/
+2k miles if done with onboard paper application

30k mile offer with $100 credit and fee for companion ticket waived the first year, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4020594
link no longer working

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277
link no longer working

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

=======================================

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...status-form.go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

It sounds to me like it doesn't matter how fast you do the spend. If you complete it the first week you have the card, it takes around 3 months to post. If you take nearly 3 months to complete the spend, it takes around 3 months to post.

Just applied and got pending review. Probably closed my last Alaska card about 8 months ago. But, everytime I log into or out of my BofA account I get I'm prequalified offer. I know those don't mean anything. Just hoping for instant approval.

I tried the two-browser trick on 2 personal cards when I read this: http://pointscentric.com/2015/01/21/...s-credit-card/

Both went to pending review. My first time applying for BOA cards. Is the best approach for BOA to call reconsideration or wait and see?

If your app goes to pending, absolutely call Recon. If they approve you for a Plat card, with a bonus of only 3-5K, instead of a Sig with 25K, it's a nightmare of multiple phone calls, and a 6 week wait to get it replaced with a Sig card.

And if you did 2 apps, call about them both. Just tell the CSR you need one for tax deductible expenses, and one for personal spend. If you credit is good, they will approve you for both with no questions. But if you don't call, most likely they will make at least one of them a Plat.

Call right away and let the CSR know you absolutely need a Sig card/s.

As Brugge said, CALL Right Away to avoid issues. The Spanish line agents usually are more accommodating on the 2BM apps.

Is there a way to get the 50k targeted offer? I've had the promotional emails setup on my Alaska account. Is there anything else anyone would suggest?

When is the Spanish line open? (The Wiki doesn't say.)

I just called the "bilingual" Spanish line (7 pm west coast time Saturday), and got some message in Spanish only that I think was trying to tell me they're closed now and when they're open, but I couldn't understand it.

I applied around 8 pm west coast time Friday (and got pending). By "Right Away", do you mean during the weekend?

As soon as the app stays pending more than a few hours. Why would you pick a Friday night to apply when you are using a 2bm which would need to call anyway?!

I am sure you understand the risk and hassle Brugge detailed - that should not be a news to you.

Call next morning after 9am and see if Spanish line opens. If not, call the regular line if I were you.

Is it unusual for the bonus miles not to post so quickly?

I applied for this card over a week ago and have yet to see any movement on my account for the bonus miles upon approval.

I wasn't able to find any data about anyone trying a 3bm for this card so I thought i'd be a guinea pig. I applied for 3 cards a little over 2 weeks ago. All 3 apps went under review. After 1 week, the first app was approved. I received mail a few days later asking if the remaining apps were duplicates. I called the bilingual recon line and was approved for the remaining cards. They had to move credit from the 1st card, and I ended up with 3 Alaska cards with a $5000 limit on each. Still waiting for the physical cards in the mail and the miles to post though.

Well, I can't call next morning (Sunday), because it turns out that BofA recon is closed all weekend! (That's on the English line; I presume the Spanish line has similar hours, but I don't know if they have exactly the same hours.) Why no figured this out and added it to the Wiki before (I just did), I don't know. You're offering advice which is impossible because you are assume they're open on weekends when they in fact aren't.

So calling Monday morning after a Friday evening application is calling in the "next few hours", isn't it?

And I was not doing a 2BM. I got pending on my one and only application. (My plans changed last week when I got a targeted offer from Amex for EBG with 75k bonus MR with $5k spend within 3 months, which expires in late March. That means I have to delay as much spend as I can, and so won't likely go after the $100 credit on the AS card, but with that in mind, only wanted to get one AS card right now. I don't feel that the $100 credit is worth MSing, but neither do I want to pay two $75 AFs right now. I have all my int'l flights for at least the next year already booked, so AS miles are not very critical at this moment.)

I did the application Friday evening because that's when I remembered to do it (after getting approved for a Citi HH Friday morning).

I don't particularly expect problems, given that I reduced BofA CL by $14k + $14k (ie, on 2 BofA cards) recently.

I was posting here more for the public benefit (of clearing up the confusion of whether "right away" includes weekends for others too), rather than just for myself.

The main point of doing 3BM (as opposed to doing 3 applications spread out over time a bit) is end up with a single pull. So how many pulls (at a given credit bureau) did you end up with on this 3BM?

Yes, I am curious about this as well. It is great and all that you were able to obtain 3 cards, but how many hard pulls did you use as a result??
