As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...status-form.go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

Argh, signed up for the 25k mile offer, $75 AF, $100 Statement Credit after $1k spend but was only approved for 2.5K CL.

The only other card I have with BoA is an old TravelRewards one with $4K CL. Maybe I should have waited for my CS to recover before applying for this one...

Does the non-Visa Signature card get the $100 statement credit?

I still have not received the 20,000 miles for the signature card. Looks like even if you upgraded the plat to sig through recon, you will only receive 5,000 miles.

In my experience (3 times), this conversion process takes anywhere from 2-6 months and has required calling to keep track of the process. Usually after your online account shows the conversion, it takes time for the card to arrive and then for the first statement to cycle. But every time, I've gotten the additional 20,000 posted. It's a painful process unfortunately. I have no idea why this must be so slow.

Anyone else been able to get 1 personal and 1 biz on the same day?

Been churning citi aa cards mostly so not too familiar with BoA AS and have been reading to catch up.

sorry if I've missed any additional data points in the thread.
I applied for both in one day. Was approved for personal with $17.5K line, Business went to pending for a week, so i called in and answered many questions about my (legitimate ) business and was finally approved for $5K.

No $100 Statement Credit?

I applied and was approved for Alaska Visa Card under the 25k miles + $100 Statement credit offer (from the Alaska Airlines website before purchasing a ticket). I have not received my card yet but upon logging in to my B of A online account, Alaska credit card has already loaded into the system.

I was curious so I emailed B of A to confirm bonuses under this offer and was told that they do not see the $100 offer but will get the 25K miles.

I even told them that I have the screen shot and application page but they are still saying they do not see it on my account.

Has anyone had that experience?

The $100 I was to receive had not posted after some 10-12 weeks, so I called them yesterday. Was told that the $100 was not part of the offer I applied for. (I have a screenshot of the offer which shows the $100 was in fact part of the offer.)

They have sent the matter to some department to look into it, then will get back to me.

The CARD Act requires the banks to wait 45 days? before they can convert a card to a higher fee. That is the first obstacle. Then you have the internal steps to go thru on the full process. BofA is not known for efficiency based on experiences on multiple fronts. And you get the picture why it is such a PITA to get the remaining 20K.

Hard Pull for Credit Decrease?

I know not to believe everything a CSR says. I did an online chat with B of A , to ask to have my Credit Line decreased . The CSR said any change to credit line required a Hard Pull. I told her to forget it. I'll try again tomorrow.
Please let me know if that is the case.

I also could not find an easy Secure Message option, such as we have with Citi and Chase. Did I just miss it?

My understanding is that hard pulls would only be for increases in the credit line, not decreases. About the secure message option at BofAm, it no longer really exists (except for one or two topics which they list). For most things you have to do chat, or call.

Anyone else had this issue?

My first statement was generated and can see the 25000 miles in the statement but not in my alaska account. There was no $100 credit as well.
Contacted BOA and below is their response.

"I understand that you would like to know why you have not received the 25,000 miles or the $100 statement credit for spending $1000. After reviewing your account I was able to see that these points were earned when this account was opened but have since expired. Regrettably, I was unable to see where this account is supposed to receive a $100 statement credit for spending $1000.
We recommend contacting Alaska Airlines directly regarding these miles and this statement credit at 1.800.654.5669. One of these specialists will be able to determine why these points were given and then removed from the system. We do apologize for this inconvenience."

Thanks guys for posting your experiences. It is now clear to me that this is absolutely not a good time to apply for this card.
