As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

PERSONAL CARDS
30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...s-credit-card/
+2k miles if done with onboard paper application

30k mile offer with $100 credit and fee for companion ticket waived the first year, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4020594
link no longer working

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277
link no longer working

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

=======================================

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...status-form.go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

I don't think anybody has posted this, and full credit goes to Maximizing Money. But this 25k + $100 link should work for personal card: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=2110445

Saves people having to do a dummy booking.

Now that we have a new working link, let's not ruin it like 2 weeks ago. I suggest no more than 2 apps at a time. If we all keep our apps in moderation, this gravy train can actually last, and all of us will be showering at 35K feet!

Need your guys' opinion.

I have 2 BofA CC's from my college days, both with newly reduced limits (freeing up $8k).
I also have 2 AS personal and 1 AS Business that were opened in december. I plan to do a 3 (or 4) BM set of apps but both of my 2x AS Personal are already at 5k (that's what I was approved for back in december).

Is it worth it to cancel these immediately to free up some credit? Will the $10k from these two cards go back into my "pool" or does this process take a few months?

Would it help to click over to alaskaair.com before copy pasting the application link so the B of A web analytics think we're coming from the right place?

Yeah, I'm not sure that is going to happen when bloggers like Million Mile Secrets is bragging about how he got approved for 5 in one day. This is going to end really soon because people get carried away. I also expect that Alaska miles will be devalued since there will be so many out there.

I was actually hoping a new direct link would not resurface...

The fake booking was difficult enough that it deterred people from doing multiple apps or even applying through it at all.

Increased difficulty = less abuse, more obscurity.

now it's back to a free for all playground of confusion.

Agreed macrophage, as soon as I saw his story I was like "ok shoot this is the beginning of the end now"

I applied for 3 (which is in the range that has been considered acceptable previously and did not push for the 5). Will call tonight for the 2 that did not get auto approval.

Wife applied on sunday and called today(wed) and got the remaining 2 approved. Not sure if that generated new credit pulls or not.

BTW, I think most of the phone reps enjoy approving the cards.

My wife's call went something like

CSR: Oh I see you have 13 credit pulls in the last 6 months - why so many?

W: We like to travel and get cards for specific purposes

CSR: And why do you want 3 of this one

W: ... ummmm ....?

CSR: *chuckling* more travel *laughing* sure lets get you approved for all of them.

I would call in ASAP once I know they were not auto approved. Waiting only bears the risk of credit pulls NOT being combined by the bureaus because the credit analyst would need to do a pull the day that they reconsider you.

If you use this rationale, please do not state that you love traveling on BONUS MILES because they will shut you down for opening and closing cards just for the bonus. This is a known truth for Chase.

You may have just gotten a friendly rep.

I would say that I like to split expenses across multiple cards, instead.

Is there a way to email them for recon? I was approved for one and denied a second on the phone. Just thinking of calling again makes me feel sick lol

It's a 10 minute phone call, usually to just confirm why you opened more than one... This isn't even asking you to step outside your home/office and spend fake money.

First app got thru just fine. The second was "in-review". Called the RECON line and the rep told me it was seen as a "Duplicate application" in the system.
