As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

PERSONAL CARDS
30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...s-credit-card/
+2k miles if done with onboard paper application

30k mile offer with $100 credit and fee for companion ticket waived the first year, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4020594
link no longer working

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277
link no longer working

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

I dont remember as our last instant approvals were many moons ago. For whatever reasons, ours always seem to get approved within 30 to 120 min after submission and I do not believe they are approved by human.

Ah okay. I applied for the Sig about 2 months ago and was instantly approved for the Plus :/ Still in the process of getting it converted over.

Call to make sure those are Signature cards as there have been instances that even over 5K CL were still given a Plat card. Again no explanation on such happening, just the weirdo of BofA system.
i didn't know that could happen, we will call on Monday (it says mon-friday in the wiki) and make sure that both cards are signature cards. Thank you.

edit: i went and read the terms of the application, and it says if you get less than 5,000 CL then you will get a platinum plus which is what my wife got, do you think we have a shot at changing the card to signature?

What to do next (approved one card, pending another)

I was instantly approved to one card with credit limit of 7000. I also have a business card with 10k credit limit. Do you think I have a chance to get approved with a 5k credit limit? Is it possible to transfer credit from business to personal.

Anyone with a business card able to comment on this?

Could anyone comment on this?

Mine & my wife's stamennts closed more than 10 days ago, statement credits posted as expected and statements showed 1000+ miles reported from spending and another 25k miles reported to Alaska from promotion. But both Alaska accounts (mine and my wife's), do not show the promotion miles, only miles from spending. anyone know why?

These are our third personal cards.

This is new wrinkle. May be the sudden popularity of the AS card now has experienced issues of delayed posting of Statement credits (several posters have to follow up on that) and now missing bonus - one data point on business card and now your personal cards.

When were your cards approve? Even if you have a short cycle, the bonuses should be in your AS accounts before your statements closed, given you had enough time to meet the spend and the statements have closed 10 days ago.

Could you give a detailed timeline as to dates of account opening, dates of meeting spend, dates of statement credit posted, dates of statement closed, and dates of annual fee posted?

With more details the timeline may help us to see if something is going on or is just the usual BofA / AS delays (we have seen delay of posting statement credit, and now we start seeing delay of posting bonuses.)

The 25K bonus should be upon approval, i.e. a few days after the card is approved. It does not tie to spend or statement close. Many people here see their 25Ks before cards arrived. Since they are on the BofA statements, the issue may be at AS end.

These cards with their relatively easy approval rate and ability to get anywhere between 25,000 to 100,000 alaskan airline miles (for now ) are a gem in the churning for miles game.
I think the reason they still exist is because the bloggers do not promote this card as much as they do for Chase sapphire/ Amex platinum etc..

However, with the increase in popularity of these cards and people applying anywhere between 2-4 cards its only a matter of time before BofA senses an opportunity and increases the spending limit on these cards.

Read back upthread - extensive discussions on this and how the process is. All the information needed to achieve this are in this thread.

It is a lengthy (2 to 3 months) process that requires persistence and luck (able to find the right agent that knows which dept to handle this is an ordeal). There are posters still in such process.

That is why the cardinal rules on this card is:

1) CALL right after submitting the applications to make sure you are not given the Plat card. (You can turn it down and withdraw the app if they could not overturn the approval and switch it to Signature.)

2) Do NOT apply on the weekend because the specialist dept only worked M-F!

This is not to you:

Folks, you cannot just skim over this thread because this card has too many unpredictable quirks. If you are interested in this card, READ the thread and keep up with the myriad data points, in particular the peril of getting a lesser card. There are too many twists on this card, making reading the posts a must.

Glad I hear it's not just me. I'll update back when the miles end up posting to my Alaska account from my business card bonus

Another data point double application

Just an update, I called the Spanish line and was told that I got approved to a visa signature card with 7k limit and the other application was not considered because they assume it's a duplicate. I asked to reactivate the application and the CS agreed with no problem. In the end, I was approved for another signature but with smaller credit limit-5k.

I just submitted 3 applications for this card this morning after freezing my Experian report last week (Chase, AMEX, Citi, and BoA all pull Experian in MI) - all went pending as expected. I called the Bi-lingual line and spoke to a very friendly/helpful rep, who informed me that all the apps had been declined because of the freeze, but quickly agreed to pull my Equifax report instead (which is only pulled by Discover in MI, and I only have one active inquiry from 11 months ago). Before today's apps, I had a BankAmericard Better Balance card with an $8k CL, and an existing AS card with a $13k CL ($21k total CL with BoA). The rep told me he couldn't approve me for any more credit (a bit of a surprise there, with a 797 Equifax score last month and perfect credit history), but he'd work with me to reallocate my limits. We reduced the Better Balance card to a $1k CL, the existing AS card to a $5k CL, and he then approved all 3 applications with the "leftover" $15k CL that we'd created. Couldn't be more impressed with the rep and his willingness to work through the process with me! Should be a fairly easy 75k AS miles, as well as $75 (assuming the correct application link is used, is the $100 credited on every approved app?) - I'd say that was easily worth the $10 fee for freezing Experian!

Yes, all 3 were personal cards.

Any idea if the $100 credit applies for each approval? I have no reason to expect otherwise, but I don't remember reading any datapoints on this.
