The pulls are instant, but the new lines which reduce your average age of credit don't appear until a few/several days later.

This. The 'ding' for an inquiry is immediate as everyone else is saying but you also can see negatives for recently opened accounts, number of accounts, and avg age of accounts. Obviously depending on how seasoned your report is these will influence everyone differently (positively or negatively).

Too many Hard pulls for my recent App.

I recently applied for 2 BOA hawaain airlines card, 2 Citi Hilton card and 1 chase ink biz card. I just checked my credit report( citi identity monitor) and I am seeing just so many inquiries by all 3 bureaus.

I will list them below and please tell me if I got pulled more than once or more than one bureau for same card.

Looks like Chase (AKA First USA) and B of A (AKA FIA) both got you twice for each card.

so by looking above,

you are saying I got hard pulled twice by chase and twice hard pulled by BOA?

Should I call both BOA and chase about these multiple pulls and have them remove the pulls?

It was only one chase card = INK PLUS
2 BOA cards+ BOA Hawaain and Bank of Hawai Hawaain- each with 35k miles offer.

2 OF THE SAME Citi Hilton cards.

So total of 5 but 4 are about the same card and applied all within 5 mins.

I had to shift some CL from my existing citi cards for the 2 new citi cards.
Same thing with BOA.

I believe it is within a Bank's discretion whether they pull one or all three. Besides who in the world could you find at these Megabanks to help you delete a credit pull when it was done legitimately - but albeit excessively?

Don't really see anything wrong here. The pulls look like:

Chase INK: Chase on TU (Chase) and EX (First USA)
Hilton card x2: Citi once on EX
BoA Hawaiian: BoA on EX and TU
Bank of Hawaii: FIA on EX and TU

It's more pulls than typically reported but not breaking any rules. They can each pull all three if they want.

They don't pull exessively, they just pulled more than one bureau. It's nothing unusual. Capital One, for example, pulls all three.

It sucks getting hit with more than 1 for a card, but not much you can do except remember who does what for next time. I always avoid Cap1, unless they happen to come back with the 100k like they had in 2011.

+1
I did it in 2011 for the 100,000 Cap1 but they would have to have something that good to do it again. Three pulls just aren't worth it.

Fortunately they didn't pull all three.

Using the cards and paying them off immediately will def. help to get your scores back up.

With some of them pulling the same, they could def. see your prior pulls, correct?
I am assuming those hard pulls show up immediately and do not wait for reporting (is this correct?)

I applied for the Ink about 3 weeks ago. That was the only Chase card I applied for - I called the reconsideration line about an hour after I applied and after some discussion was approved. Despite the fact I only talked to one analyst and only called one time they did two hard inquires from Experian. Chase and Chase Bank NA.

s*x with these multiple pulls. BOA and chase is becoming CAP1, CAP 1 pulls all three , these 2 pulls 2.

should be pulling from 1 ( at least thats what we expect from non cap 1 cards)

How many hard pulls is too many

I am looking at my AOR schedule for next year and noticed that, depending on the month, I will have a running total of anywhere between 11 and 14 hard pulls for the preceding 12 months on the books. Is that going to raise a red flag with any of the banks or should I just proceed with confidence on my schedule of roughly 3 applications every 3 months?
