Closing account
 

I recently got the Citi AA Visa, HH Amex Surplus and going for the Chase Sapphire Preferred soon. I had two CC's prior to this, one of which is the Blue Sky Amex. I don't plan to use that card again. Would there be any downside to closing that account, since AMEX reports the oldest account date to the bureaus anyway? I can probably get AMEX to transfer the existing credit line on the Blue Sky to the HH which I intend to keep and use. Are there any potential negative impacts I may be missing?
