Is it possible to be approved for BOfA Business or Personal card without having a Bank of America bank account (or any other product with them)? Would I be wasting my time by applying and should I get a bank account with them first?

Im sure you can open cards without needing checking account. Having a checking account can also help you thou. Only reason I would open a credit card thru them if Im a preferred reward. Otherwise their cards arent that exciting

Does anyone have any data points on what the application status page shows after manual approval by the reconsideration line?
I called when it still said In Review. The credit analyst ended up approving me with a decent credit limit. However, the application status page now shows Denied.
Not sure who/what to believe anymore...
