it's been 2 weeks since the wife applied for this card and was told it would be under review
credit pull shows up
online status check says no app
calling in they state they can't find an app
no email, no letter, no nothing
any suggestions?

I just got my US air Premier world Master card less then 2 weeks ago, purchased Coffee @ Starbucks and now when I check my transactions, I See this:

They are closed now, can I just call Barclays and see if they will match from the link in Post 1?. or just tell them Ill cancel the card?! OUCH!

You already wasted a credit pull, $89 annual was charged.
I think 40k miles for $89 is well worth it.

With the pending AA merger, this suddenly became very tempting for me. I just applied for 2 personal cards (me & wife). We both got approved, my wife with 3x the credit limit. She's always had a higher credit rating than me; I have no idea why.
Anyway, thanks once again to everyone who shares these great deals here. This is 80,000 free miles on what is likely to be a huge, global airline, (if not the biggest).

Applied - Approved - Thanks FTers for Advice
I applied thru US Chairmans offer link.
Instant approval $15k + did 2 BT's...
Called to verify in person all was set and got 1st yr waived.
All went well, once this is up and running will close existing BA UsAir Visa.
