50,000 after $3,000 spend:

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

They gave me a temp credit card number when I was approved. Did you receive an email or give CS a call?

On February 25,2019, I received a snail mail offer for the CapitalOne Venture Rewards card with a 60,000 miles bonus. Alas, it has an application code unique to me.

Curious everyone - I thought I saw a post that you cannot apply for the Venture card if you've had any inquiries in the prior 6 months - is that correct? I applied for a Chase card on Jan 8th, so wondering if I need to wait a bit before applying for this? I only have 2 inquiries in the past year.

TIA!

I'm trying to help my mother book travel with her 30K miles on her Spark card.
Is it not possible to book through their website and pay with points when you don't have enough points to cover the whole trip?
It only ever gives me the option to pay with cash on a ~$700 ticket.

thanks.

Repeat bonus?

I got a targeted offer to get the Capital One Savor card. I got the card, met the spending requirement and got the $500 bonus.

I read that there is no restriction on getting another Savor card (even while one is open) and collecting the $500 bonus again, after waiting six months. Is this true?

Thanks!

This was not true in my case. I got the Venture card last month and I had a few inquiries in Dec and Jan.

Second DP for not true. I had opened the new IHG premier 4 months prior to applying for the Venture with another card opened 7 months prior. I don't remember a post saying you couldn't open with an inquiry in 6 months, but I do remember one saying that you couldn't open a second Capital One card if you've opened another Cap One within 6 months.

Hey all, sorry if this has been addressed in this thread but quick scan and I didn't see it. First post in this thread but have been on the Capital One Venture Rewards train for years and years.

One of the things I like about Capital One is/was the ability to make payments over the phone automated system with MasterCard GC typically sold at grocery stores like Jewel. (like below). This was useful for a couple reasons, but recently that stopped working for me. I talked with Capital One and they said there was no reason I shouldn't be able to make the debit payment but couldn't get it to process with manual payment entry either. Anybody else run into this problem? I'm trying to figure if something changed on Cap One's side (CSR said no) or if something changed with these GCs. I will note the exterior packaging changed on these same GCs, but no idea if that coincides with some other change to the way the card payment processes.

The issuer of the prepaid card matters. Take a look at the Wikipost at the top of this thread in the Manufactured Spending forum for a list of prepaid cards that do (or not) work for making payments to Citi. The list might be different for payments to Capital One, but it is a starting point:

Paying Citi cards with debit cards including prepaid debit cards

I read through the Wiki and saw the note that you can reimburse yourself the same charge over and over again. Has anyone done this without a negative effect. I have 5 charges that I reimbursed myself from $10 to $200. I don't want my account to be flagged but if I can cash out everything now, why not!

Have folks had success getting their annual fee waived?
Mine is due in about 2 weeks and I haven't used the card in about 7 months.
