50,000 after $3,000 spend:
https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/travel-and-miles/

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

Does the venture card cover lost item protection?

I've foolishly lost a pair of snowboard boots i just purchased in the back of an uber and had it been purchased with my platinum card, I would've been able to claim this.

Thanks!

How is Cap One on MS'ing VGC's? (there was another short thread on here about it but it was almost a year ago and had vague answers -which is maybe all anyone knows at this point). Was thinking about getting the Spark Cash and MS'ing the 50k at Simon Mall over the 6 months to get the $3k cash back. Never had a Cap One card ever. I also got a pre-approval in the mail recently for the Spark Biz card - $500 cash back with 4500 spend. Obviously I'd like to do the larger one if I can - but don't want to get shut down and risk losing the (probably) easy $500 of the latter offer. Any suggestions? How are they with credit limits? I mean if I can't get at least a 9k CL then I won't be able to do 50k in 6 months anyway (unless I cycle, but I'm not doing that).

With public offer expiring Jan 28, applied for Cap1 Spark Business Miles card with 50k miles after 5K spend, 200K miles after 50K spend. Already have Spark Business Cash and Venture card. Instantly approved 20K. 7 new cards in 2 years bus and personal. 801 FICO as shown on C1 statement, no balances carried. Received 100k bonus on Cap1 Cash business last year.

Do we know if Cap1 actually enforces the requirement that the name on the transfer partner loyalty account matches the name of the cardholder?

from the Sticky: "Note on point transfer: The ability to transfer points between CapOne accounts ended effective September 15, 2015"

I thought you can transfer capital 1 miles to any account, even a friend's?

Yup, one day, the same for me. That was a very pleasant surprise after the long delays Capital One took processing the application and actually sending the card.

Is Capital One always this slow?

I applied for a Capital One card and hear anything, so finally called, and I am approved. Letter dated Jan 28 said I’d be receiving the card soon, but two weeks later, still no card. This is the first time in years I haven’t been approved instantly. Is their screening process overly thorough, or are they just slow?

Does cap one enforce 5/24? Running out of options for new cc.... would not mind taking a hit on all 3 bureaus !

5/24 is a Chase rule, not Capital One rule. The only rules I've ever read about are only 2 personal Cap One (not co-branded) cards open at one time and only one app (of any kind) every 6 months.

I have a quick question, and I apologize if this is the wrong place.
I just got approved for the Venture card, but since I live abroad, it can take up to 14 days to receive it.
I have to book a few rooms for an upcoming vacation on hotels.com and of course I'd rather use this card.

Long story short: I'm trying to get the card numbers to use it online rather than waiting for the physical card, but when I try the option to do so on the app it says:
"Looks like we couldn't load it right now, but we're working on it. Try again in a bit".It's been like this for 2 days.
I can't find the option on the website.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ben.

I applied for a card on 1/26, got a message that they were considering the application, and received the card on 2/12, so it can take them some time.
