50,000 after $3,000 spend:
https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/travel-and-miles/

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

Autoapproved Venture for 30k, although I'm currently at 2/24 since 3 just drop off in the last 3 months. About 830 - 840 score across all 3 agencies. This is important since Capital One pulls all 3.

Aside from the IHG Premier, this is my only other auto-approval in ages.

I would have loved the 200k with the Spark, but the majority of my business expenses are mortgage payments that I'm not sure I can process properly on my card. Without those I couldn't make 50k in 6 months... It wouldn't be easy even with those.

If Capital One keeps improving their offerings, they might need their own forum soon!

I got the Venture right before this 75k offer came out. Mine was for 50k. Will they match the offer if I call?

When do Cap1 cards hit the CR? Statement close, immediately, one month out?

Multiple cards of same type - bonus again (more than 6 months, less than 1 yr)?

I am in a similar situation (have had since the first half of 2018), tried this recently and was declined.

Any new data points on a second bonus if approved a second time within a year for the same type of card? The phone agents wouldn't give me a straight answer, told me only that it would trigger a review and they couldn't guarantee.

So am I correct in my understanding here? If Capital 1 wouldn't approve you for a card without a mailer, they also wouldn't approve you for that card with a "preapproved" mailer? The mailers make basically no difference?

I'm somewhere around 20/24, pay off my cards every month, and have excellent credit. I've been throwing away capital 1 mailers for years, but finally got a Venture offer worth looking at. But it sounds like I'd have about a 0% chance of actually getting it, correct?

Applied 4 days ago and the card status line still says under review w/ a decision coming within 10 bus days. Should i call recon / assume this was denied?

Just give up on this one IMO.
They dont have recon concept.

However in the years past (when there was the 1 million miles offer, the bonus was essentially a maximum $1K with $1000 spend if you could provide proof of FFP balance over 100K. ) the twitter team was very empowered and a team member was able to get my husband's application reviewed / approved in 36 hours with a 30K CL after we were being lied to and run around many times by various "supervisors" and "managers" until one finally told me the truth about the non-existence of recon.

My husband was livid at that time because we had a very sizable deposit at CapOne and my application got instant approval while his instant denial - we suspected the algo had built-in age filter as that would be the ONLY factor we could put some weight on with identical credit profiles.

I set up a twitter account just for that, to contact CapOne twitter team and asked someone to call me back. The lady who called back was very responsive and helpful. She said the Social Media team was just under the Exec office and worked with all depts. Later she told me she had to work with 3 depts to finally get it done. She also asked if we mind pulling credit reports again but at the end there was no additional pull - they could readily see how much our money sitting at CapOne...

Now I have no idea if the Twitter Team still is empowered but if you have a strong case it certainly worth a try if you really want this card.

My application took 9 calendar days before being approved. I would just wait and see.

Sorry if this info is elsewhere in thread, I looked through and couldn't find anything. To get the $5000 spend done can Visa or MC credit cards be used? it would be nice stack the Venture One offer with Stop and Shop/Ginat supermarket gasoline discounts. Also, how about paying mortgage, rent, etc via Plastique? Does Capital One allow that toward 5K spend?

Can you customize card image for CapitalOne Venture card?

I was able to put customized image on my CapitalOne cash reward card, I am just wondering if I can do the same for Venture? I am intrigued in applying after recently hearing that they will have airlines transfer partners ....

Activated the card yesterday. Dropped 7k today. I'll add a DP when the points post to my account.

I'm also extremely interested to know about whether I can personalize it, that was one of my favorite things about my first Capital One card. The transfer rate of 4:3 isn't as good as Citi, Chase, or Amex but the Hotels.com 10x points and 2x everyday earn definitely gives this one some staying power. This card will supplement my Citi Prestige 4th night free benefit nicely now that it has a 2 use limit.

2x everyday with a 4:3 transfer rate essentially makes it a 1.5x everyday which is the same as a lot of the other cards out there... with no FTF! My only regret is that I doubt I can pull out a full 50k of "normal" transactions in 6 months for the Spark bonus. I'm not a MS'er. and I don't really want to go through the hassle of trying to pay for my mortgages using a cc... if that even still works... and paying all the fees. 3% of 50k would be $1500 which kind of defeats the purpose of the bonus points.

Original: Is the 75k offer dead? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Update: The links weren't working for me. I went to a private browser tab and it worked. . . . Cookies . . .

My wife was approved instantly for the 75k offer today.

Have a credit freeze on. Normally the procedure is apply, get told they can't approve yet and then the CC company asks you to lift the freeze for a short window so they can view. Capital One rejected the app and when I called, they wanted me to lift the credit freeze on all three (TU, EQiF, ect) for 10 days. That just seems completely unreasonable. Is this just a case of hang up and call back or is this the Capital One standard?

i'm new to air miles as i havent flow in decades. however now i have a reason to fly and did so 6 times in 2018. i read the fine print in the venture card and just wanted to confirm my understanding of using points (and thus making it worth applying for the card).

from what i gather i just make my normal flight arrangements as i always have thru the airline site, then i can go back and apply the rewards points after the airline charge is posts. they gave the example of 200 dollar flight needing 20000 points. therefore obviously 75000 points would get me a few flights as my flights are usually around 200 to 300 RT. so this would be 2 or 3 free flights which is a big savings for me.

also id have to do the math to pay one of those processor sites 2.5% to pay my mortgage/car payment etc thru cap 1 but that would really help me rack up the miles quickly.

------
separate question: can you make reservations thru the cap 1 site and if so, are they merely current mirrors of the airline's pricing just there for our convenience. thanks
