50,000 after $3,000 spend:
https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/travel-and-miles/

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

In general, it comes down to your cardmember agreement. Credit card issuers may prohibit using a personal card for business, and/or prohibit using a business card for personal purchases. You should review the cardmember agreement to determine whether your intended use is permitted.

I submitted business applications for this card -- one for me and one for my wife. She was accepted and I was rejected. I can't remember every being rejected for a credit card before. Maybe when I was a college student. My credit score is pretty high and there's nothing negative on my credit reports. They said I'll get something in the mail explaining their decision. Strange.

Just an update, nothing really happened to my intro bonus, all is good so far.

Quick question: I have a regular Platinum cap one card I opened years ago that didn't come with any bonus. Is it fairly easy to call and ask for a "product change" to the Venture Card and get the 50k bonus after $3k spend?

I've heard with Chase you can do this.

Thanks in advance!

Can't give you an answer. I'd call and try. If that doesn't work just apply for the new card.

Got a targeted offer and was very tempted. But eventually went with another card.

Offer still valid. Will see.

I have a promo for 60k pts with $3k spending. that will translate to <50k miles, on the low side. Unfortunately they have the airline I wanted: BR. I will hold out for the 75k pts offer from last year.

Does getting the Venture card show up as 3 hard pulls against your credit, or just it pull from all 3 but only shows up as 1 hard pull?

But only counts once again 5/24, correct? That's what I really want to be sure of.

The three hard pulls may effect your credit score, but it is ONE card opening to count toward 5/24 @:-)

I've had a Quick Silver card for a few years and noticed they offer a product change option on-line, to the Venture card along with other options. However, it does say right there you're not eligible for the initial bonus.

So I went ahead last month and applied for the Venture and got an instant on-line approval with a good CL. Did the $3k spend in about a month (hit it just the other day) and got the 50k bonus miles (plus 6k for the $3k in spend).

They did do the three hard pulls, but all on the same day and didn't affect my score too much.

Nice metal card btw, and been very happy working with Capital One so far.
