50,000 after $3,000 spend:

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

P2 wsa approved for venture x personal last month. Does capital one's 6 months rule apply to spark plus, which is a business card?

Another thing to consider when taking an upgrade is you won't get any of the new card bonuses if that is something you are after. If you are looking for max rewards, keeping your current card and signing up for a Venture card new would get you the sign up bonus.

I wonder if ti is the paying off at once that affects it - Your score will come down if you show a high balance. I usually close to max out most of my personal cards at above 50% for a month and then put them away
It dings my report but then it moves the number which is maximum balance on card - I have no idea if it works but I have not had cards closed for inactivity and if done right it dings report only for 1 month at most in Jan

A couple other cards like Citi Premier I applied for gave me $2k even with 3 other cards with about $75k CL. I’m feeling like the fact I pay off my cards in full and only use 25% of that credit is maybe working against me.

It is NOT the number of accounts - I can say that - VentureX was fine and the Cash Plus P2 went through just fine for 3k bonus

I have done the Venture 2k bonus before 2 yrs ago - also no problem with number of cards

received mailer for Spark, $3,500 on $50k spend. I had this card 5 years ago, would I be eligible for the bonus? Does Capital One let you know during application process? No way am I spending $50k on this card to not get the bonus.

You get $500 for spending $5K right? If so try that and see if the bonus posts.

that is the obvious answer(face palm)...thanks
then again, I wouldn't waste the hard pulls if I wasn't eligible for the bonus

Will Cap One give a retention Bonus? I have a Spark Cash and the $95 AF just posted. Or should I just close it and apply for the Spark Cash Plus with $3K bonus after 50K spend card?

I've never been given a retention bonus, but I've had the fee waived; I guess that's some sort of retention.

Cap one Spark Cash card

Latest offer large chunk for 300k points but I spend a lot on my business with credit cards. As many have experienced Cap One cards can be hard to figure out as far as approval odds. When the Venture X came out I applied and was denied seemingly due to too many inquiries and too many cards opened in last 12 months. But strangely my wife was instantly approved, everything being equal.

what are the DP on approval for this card? Three months have gone by, no new cards(other than Plat Biz Amex which I assume their inquiries don’t uncover).

I’m at 5/24 and have a chase biz card in mind in the fall when I’m 3/24. I may try again for Venture X as well, might have to do fairly soon at current offer. I read that most biz Cap one cards are reported like the Venture cards but this one is the exception. Anyone with the card confirm it doesn’t count against?

Last questions, it were easier to get the spark cash now, and I was approved, it only earns cash back unless I have a Venture or Venture X as I understand it. Would I be able to sit on the cash back until able to open the Venture X?

I don't see why not, it's still a credit card.

Supposedly you can email a business relationship manager and they can give you a link to an elevated $3,500 offer. Anyone have a contact here? Offer ends in 3 days.
