Just called in and got the same offer, 15k spend since my last AF hit, lame but I accepted since I use it everyday. Previous year was offered 6k points and the year before that 5k so a bit disappointed this year.
Is there a pattern of the less you spend the higher the retention? I saw the 100k spend guy who got nothing.

I spent around $7k, 99% of it at 3%, and got the 10k deal.
How much of your $15k spend was at the 3% earning rate?

Called today regarding retention offers, was immediately offered 4k points. Total spend for the year was around 10k all Apple Pay or travel. I didn’t accept but I will HUCA at a later date. I received 5k points last year. Also worth noting I did ask how long this offer would be available and the agent told me April 22 so who knows how valid that is.
Not sure if I will take it but AR is definitely my most used card easily.

There is a misconception among some people that more spending equates to higher retention offers. From a bank's point of view, retention offers are not a reward for past spending, they are a means to keep people from canceling the card and put more spending on it in the future. They have reams of data to analyze who is most likely to cancel - those are the people who get the highest retention offers.

The previous year was about $30K. about 95% was mobile/travel.
This year (from May last year to May this year) was less than $4500. AF just hit. I am planning to call regarding the retention offer. Should I call or email? If calling - which number?

Really weird experience this year asking US Bank for a retention offer for keeping the Altitude Reserve. First 2 agents initially seemed confused about what I was requesting. Said there was nothing (except "using my points to pay my annual fee") and couldn't even find a supervisor or "retention specialist" to transfer my call to. I almost gave up, but called again. This time I was quickly offered 6,000 points and gladly accepted -- all I really want is to get the card without effectively paying an annual fee (I always quickly qualify for the $325 travel rebate).
FWIW, I think I spend about 12K a year on the card, almost all mobile pay and travel bonus spending.
BTW, it's really annoying calling US Bank because you always have to spend 2 minutes first on "verification." If you're calling from your own phone, can't they make that process simpler?

I was immediately offered 9,000 points as a retention bonus for my Altitude Reserve card. I took it. Annual spend this year was ~ $12K.

$400 Annual Fee posted 5/13. Called 6/1 and was offered 6000 points. Gladly took it as this is worth $90 easily which when combined with the $325 travel credit means they pay me $15 for the card.
I mention when the fee posted and when I called as I've noticed with Chase that I'm most likely to get a bonus if I wait 2-3 weeks after fee posts to ask for offer. Last year with US Bank I called within a day or two of annual fee posting and got nothing.
