Did he mention any specific measures, or any reason for reintroducing measures?

Just looked at worldometers and they are in the midst of a high uptick since BA.2. I surmise that could be a reason to justify new measures.

It's almost the end of 2022 and these 'experts' are still looking at case counts, smh.

I found this in an English language journal from 5 days ago:
The Austrian Federal Government has now said they will make a decision on bringing back the mask mandate by October 23rd. Last week, the National Covid Crisis Coordination (GECKO) recommended wearing FFP2 masks.

According to ORF, the mask mandate could return for public indoor spaces, public transport and in the gastronomy sector. The Austrian Trade Association has already rejected the suggestion saying it would be the “last straw” for employees as the industry struggles with staff shortages.

As of May 1, 2022, Greece lifted all proof of vaccination or testing requirements. That's the case with almost all of western Europe now. No need for tests or anything.

They will only enforce the Greek entry rules at LAX and since there are none you will be OK.

Austria's latest wave continues to abate, from Der Standard today ( https://www.derstandard.at/story/200...u-wochenbeginn )

The corona wave, which has been abatingfor around a week, continues to show falling values at the beginning of the week: 6,297 new infections were registered in the past 24 hours [to Monday 17 October], compared to 8,299 a week ago. Since Sunday, the seven-day incidence has also been back in the three-digit range and was 953.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Monday
Vienna (city only, not VIE airport!) continued to have significantly stricter Covid measures than the rest of Austria. Michael Ludwig (the mayor) is convinced that the rest of Austria needs to follow suit, but to say that there is no appetite for stricter measures across the rest of the country would be putting it mildly.

Which measures in the city of Vienna are currently more strict than the rest of Austria? I am considering a visit there next month.

This is the type of thing that I dont consider a real dealbreaker. Now if they started requiring antigens again or God forbid a 4th dose for entry, now thats a real deterrent. Already gives you stress and you even havent checked in to the flight.

Want to be sure I have this right. US citizen traveling from US to Spain, no booster. Would need a negative test.
Travel then from Spain to France, no requirements. Travel from France back to Spain, no requirements because arriving from
a Schengen country?
