List of Covid-19 test facilities, by departure airport

I think it's long overdue that we have a list of places where FTers and others have been able to get rapid Covid-19 test results for use to enable travel involving a test requirement within 3 calendar days/72 hours/24 hours or so on of departure/arrival.

Maybe we can have a list of contributions that goes something like this:

Airport of departure:
Name/address/contact info of test-provider: -
Type of test taken:
Amount of time between test administration and having test results in hand for use to travel from mentioned airport:
Identify the relevant test requirement for the transited country and/or destination and/or airline (as applicable):
Other details:

They could be organized in a Wiki, by airport within each country, for the information shared here.

What about a list of locations in each major city or entire country? And then folks can come back and fill in additional information for labs they actually visited and the airport they used, etc. Right now people need at least a list to get started.

Here's the list for the entire country of Mexico, in order by State, from the US Embassy in Mexico: (specifies type of test provided)

Airport of departure: LHR
Name/address/contact info of test-provider: - Collinson, LHR T5 Arrivals area
Type of test taken: Antigen
Amount of time between test administration and having test results in hand for use to travel from mentioned airport: 20 mins, electronic only, plus time to print -- I did the test 2 days early and printed it at the house
Identify the relevant test requirement for the transited country and/or destination and/or airline (as applicable): JFK, travelling with AA. Antigen falls within the U.S.A. requirements

Cost was £50.

Airport of departure: JFK
Name/address/contact info of test-provider: - Sameday Testing. 3 branches in NYC
Type of test taken: Antigen
Amount of time between test administration and having test results in hand for use to travel from mentioned airport: 30 mins, electronic only, plus time to print -- I did the test 2 days early and printed it at the house
Identify the relevant test requirement for the transited country and/or destination and/or airline (as applicable): LHR, travelling with AA. Antigen falls within the U.K. guidance which the airlines use.

The U.K. requirements as written in the regulation are very broad, but the guidance lists "such-as"s, including PCR, antigen. The rapid test option at JFK is XPres testing, at T4, which offers "rapid molecular" for $200. Although this would fulfil the requirement according to the regulation, I didn't take the risk as it's not one of the "such-as"s. There is also Adams Health at T1, with a PCR within 48 hrs., at over $300. I went for the Manhattan option at $150.

Other details: The place was hardly busy, we had an appointment. I can't imagine what it would be like if it was busy.

US PCR test locations with travel certificate

Is anyone compiling a list with reliable PCR test locations with travel certificate?

We need to know turn around times and price, and how close to the airport.

I'm looking for EWR.

washeelers747 Feb 23, 2021 8:24 pm

I saw PHL airport offer RT-PCR and lady in email said 20 minutes wait for result and cost $250.

LAX offer clarity lab and seems 3-5 hour turnaround for PCR. Cost $125.

As a teacher of mine was fond of saying, “looks like you’ve just volunteered.”

boboqui Feb 25, 2021 7:25 pm

I booked a test ar EWR Xprescheck, I’m calling them tomorrow to verify that the RT-PCR test result will be available in less than 72 hours. The appointment didn’t specify the type of test.

Update: no 72 hour guarantee, back to square 1.
