And British Airways is not extending the frequent flyer member status period, merely reducing the (re)qualification threshold for memberships expiring in April, May and June(*) and extending the expiry date of any 'companion' or upgrade vouchers you may have acquired.
To be fair the article does make this clear, but the headline is somewhat misleading in the context of several airlines' actual offering.
(*) similar allowances are expected to be made for Jul, Aug and Sep etc. as the crisis drags on, though nothing has yet been confirmed.

My feeling is............just give it time.
The virus hasn't finished ravishing the airlines yet. We have another 4-8 weeks of major distress ahead, followed by..who knows since we don't yet have a good handle on post-surge disease behavior.
I would really like to see what this list looks like in 6 months.

Alaska isn't really extending any status at this point yet. Sure they have a bonus elite miles offer going on, but it doesn't help when no one is flying.

The TATL-flying US airline industry cartel kingpins seem to be deliberately slow in putting forward status extensions or other status acquisition/retention waivers of sort in place.
