I am flying tomorrow, but only a short morning flight to Pereira so I would not expect much. Before COVID, I think one of the options for such a route was a warmed croissant with ham & cheese, which was very nice afair

Copa continued with bad food. For reduce cost during Covid pandemic
I recommend not hope in airplane food.
  • For short flight less of 3 hour only offer snack box with cookies, pretzel and bottle water.
  • For long flight offer above of 3 hour offer Box with cool food as salad, sandwich and walnuts.
I shared some picture of this cold box snack

It is beyond painful to be charged business class prices and receive that "cold box snack". They use COVID as an excuse to reduce/remove services, yet continue to charge premium prices. I really want to maintain my Connectmiles Gold status for next year, but I'm finding it difficult to justify flying with COPA, or any star alliance member for that matter because the benefits are non-existent at this point.

Only received a bottle of water. Less than what I got on PTY-DAV in December

MDE-PTY we got a bottle of water in business class.

PTY-CUN we got nothing at all. Luckily we learned our lesson on the first flight and brought our own snack and wine.

I am flying Copa MDE-LAX in mid-July. Apparently by June 1, things are supposed to normalize a bit food-wise so we shall see. My last Business Class on Copa to Medellin was in March 2020 just before the big shutdown and I found the service and check-in experience far superior to Avianca.

you can bring your food and wine in the airplane. In last month I buy lunch in airport and eat in airplane. Not problem

Remember, the reduction of food service is for save money

Also interested to know what to expect on PTY flights to/from the US. Website info makes it seem like packing a picnic is the best option!

I fly recent in the route MIA-PTY. The food continues with cold box (ice sandwich) in J. For my is too bad and recommend take food in the lounge or airport before of departure.
The good news is resume the drink option where can take wine, soda, beer.......

Any more recent experience on the JFK-PTY-JFK flights? Still packaged food?

Also website indicates "wine & beer" - does that mean no spirits? Or just an omission on the website?
