I once received an email with the subject line: Urgent [Company Contacting Me], Reference: $162850ABCDE (last 5 digits removed in case it still means something), which was not a phishing email. Upon contacting the company in question and being asked to read out the reference code, the person on the other end of the phone interrupted me saying it would be easier if I just read out the numbers, when I started out by saying "OK, its a large dollar amount and its 16 billion, 285 million, 95 thous..."
Numbers are generally easier
