PTY-DAV on a 737-400?

CM17 (PTY-DAV) on Monday April 8 is showing up as a 737-400. I didn't even realize Copa had 737-400s in their fleet!

Any ideas? Wet-lease? Maybe they pulled it out of storage to cover for the Max groundings?

Expertflyer.com is showing that as a 737-800 all that week, and flightaware.com shows it as a 738 all this week. I have flown a 737-700 on that route before. But a -400 seems more probably an error.

Thanks. Here is how it's showing up for me on copaair.com. I'll assume it's a mistake and its actually at 738.

Wow interesting!

On the make a new reservation page it shows as this:

It also shows as that if you go through the steps of making a new booking (after entering in name, email, phone)

I checked one of my reservations that has the same plane (newer 737-800) on it, and it shows correctly as "737-800"

Probably some sort of mapping (code) issue, but I am not sure where they got the -400 part from

For the SFO route, formally on the MAX9 until it was grounded, they show the 737-800 seatmap until the end of April, but then it goes back to the normal MAX9 seatmap (but now called just "737") from the 1st May. I asked them about this yesterday, but have yet to receive a response

Needless to say, you do not know what plane you will be on until you are at the gate/boarded - they do swap last minute depending on several factors

Here is their current fleet:
