Venezuela’s civil aviation authority said in a statement that inbound and outbound Copa flights were suspended for 90 days, effective Friday, “as a measure to protect the Venezuelan financial system.”

Copa, a crucial provider of international flights following a sharp reduction in airline services to crisis-stricken Venezuela.

It is Maduros revenche after Panama put his name on a list of suspected money launderers. All Panamanian commercial ties with Venezuela are suspended, Panama has called back their diplomatic staff in Caracas and are asking Maduro to do the same.

Copa Airlines resumes operations in Venezuela

Panama City, April 27, 2018

Copa Airlines informs its passengers that the National Civil Aviation Institute of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela announced, through an official statement, flights between Venezuela and Panama will restart. Therefore, the airline is pleased to report that it will resume operations gradually starting on Tuesday, May 1, beginning with Caracas and Valencia.
