Claiming points at a later date
 

I have a friend that is about to start flying Copa. He will do a few flights this year but not enough for any status. If he doesn't put his ConnectMiles number for the flights this year but waits until January to claim the points for those flights, so they credit into his account then, will they then count toward status for next year?
