UA Award on COPA -- Travel Waiver

UA Award on COPA -- Travel Waiver
Booked on a UA saver award on UA metal where a waiver is in effect. COPA has seats but its in G and not in X. I know that officially UA waivers are only valid for UA metal, but since there's a special award relationship, I'm curious if anyone's ever been able to get a saver to standard switch on COPA via a waiver.
