Online redemptions connectmiles
 

Just got an e-mail that CM has introduced a Star Alliance wide online redemption tool.
I see at the moment only direct flights on other Star Alliance carriers.
Anyone found already Star Alliance flights with a transfer in the tool?

Cool! I can see star transfers only when combined with a CM flight. For example, for PTY-LHR:
PTY-CM-LAX-LH-FRA-LH-LHR
PTY-CM-ORD-TK-IST-TK-LHR

But I haven't been able to find anything with multiple Star carriers, or more than 2 transfers.

Interestingly, it seems some fares haven't been completely filed. I can't get intra-US to price unless it includes a CM flight (which seems to open up some semi-interesting possibilities). However, I can get intra-Asia to price without a CM flight (nonstop only).

Does anyone know if they have same day redemption's like Mileage Plus or is it 24 hours out like Life Miles?

I still can't see Star Alliance flights with connections. If I search as multi city, I see Aviancas flights.
Question: if I search as multi city for same day flights: CTG-BOG, BOG-AZ, and find award space for both segments (10k each) with Avianca, if I call Connectmiles, will I be able to redeem it for 10k miles (as it was CTG-BOG-ADZ)?

I can't see many *A flights even without connections. For example, UA shows OKA-KIX on ANA most every day in January and also many OKA-NRT. With the Copa site I can't find the same flights, even after choosing ANA as the airline. It doesn't happen every day though, because I could find something in April.

I used the online redemption page to book flights for family members, traveling without me, on simple one-segment Copa round trips. It was reliable and relatively efficient. Finding "saver awards" was what I expected, not as plentiful close in, harder for longer flights.

I got a 10% discount on miles by using my ConnectMiles branded credit card. I was able to select the "Prefer" seats even without me on the reservation.

Mrs. Molina flew alone, with no status, but still inherited my status: Group 1, **PREFERACCESS** PRES PLAT on her boarding pass.
