Seeking advice for points earning on Copa Airlines

In early 2017, my wife and I will be flying Business Flex (C) from RIO to PTY and then PTY to LAS. Primarily, we fly airlines whose miles can be credited to our Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account, but we are not able to do this with Copa.

We don't anticipate flying Copa, nor any Star Alliance airlines any time soon. I would appreciate your ideas on the best way to benefit from the miles we will fly on Copa Airlines.

Thank you!

I believe ConnectMiles is afiliated with Marriott Rewards, so you can credit your milage earning to MR, if you have an account with them?
ConnectMiles is still not well rolled out in terms of partnerships, so it's very limited what you can make of it, if you dont have an account within the programme.
