I'm flying PTY-IAD, do all the 737-800s have seatback on-demand video? Thanks!

Check the seat map of the upcoming flight(s).

If there is a row 11 then its an older version with no AVOD

If there is no row 10 then there is AVOD

Will be same with business class too using the above method

Planes do get subbed in at last minute of course too

Looks like I'm on the same version of the 737-800.

Hopefully your aircraft wont get swapped. A recent trip back to PTY from LAS was swapped to the old 800. But it was at night, so I just slept instead :)

Will keep the ipad loaded just in case!

I recently flew four long segments on Copa, all on new 737-800s. All seats had video, and I was really impressed with the selection.

Just flew IAD-PTY Feb 12 on old 800 - only ceiling mounted video with fixed film and some shorts, and my earphones didn't work. New 800 connnection PTY-GIG with seat back but the selection is so limited, it didn't make much difference. Now I have flights in reverse tomorrow, and I've already watched the few seat back films and tv shows could bear, so making sure I have plenty of podcasts loaded and a full charge on my phone! Plus snacks - food was pretty basic for such a long set of flights ...
