Questions about bidding for upgrade?

In early 2014, the minimum bid for Costa Rica to Panama was $25, now it is showing $75. Does that price change closer to that flight date?
They want the same minimum $75 for Panama to Nicaragua flight on E190.

I'd bite at $25, but not at $75.

I'm amazed it was ever that low.

PTY-MDE (50-60 minutes tops) E190 or 737 minimum is like $80USD, I've done it twice, regretted it both times, not cuz of the service or anything but strictly because I can make better use of $100 CAD lol. It's worth it if you don't already have lounge access.

At $25 I'd do it every time.

Go to copa.com - bottom left side of site. Under the "Reservations" header, you will see "Request an upgrade" as the 4th option down. It works a lot like Priceline. They will confirm between 23-2 hours before flight time.
