Ditto. Mine is now black. Sounds like they did some kind of systemwide fix.

ahh thanks! how do upgrades work? i managed to use this tab (that also did just appear for me as well) to apply certs to 2 of my flights and i see that i've been moved to Z class but i'm still listed in economy with economy seats (and can't change the seat online). is this something that happens at the airport or do you know if i need to call in?

Can anyone think of why one would use the Global upgrade instead of a Regional upgrade on a CM flight? Seems the Globals are of additional value only if redeemed on UA. And I wonder whether they will clear into R or I on UA.

Did everyone get the e-mail about program status and delays? No online redemptions until 2016. Still no ability to use instruments to upgrade UA flights; they hope to have this functionality "before the end of the year." They actually suggest redeeming for CM flights via other programs (UA, AV) until CM gets its act together! Here's the text:

1. Redemption
Currently, we are very focused on finalizing the technology to support on-line redemptions and we anticipate introducing it in the 1st quarter of 2016. At this moment redemptions are only available through our service center.

Since redemptions are not as convenient as they will be when we add our on-line functionality, we want you to know that we are increasing availability for redemptions throughout our network. Now could be an excellent time to use your miles from of other Star Alliance programs (like MileagePlus, LifeMiles, and others) to redeem awards on Copa.

2. Service Center
At the beginning of July, ConnectMiles service center wait times were too long. But we are happy to report that wait times have decreased by 70%. We are still not where we aspire to be and we continue working to improve your experience. Thanks for your patience.

3. Global and Regional Upgrades on United
We are happy to announce that we are planning to have these upgrades on United fully operational before the end of this year. We initially experienced some technological setbacks to deliver this product, but the issues have been identified and we are making the necessary adjustments to make them functional.

I still havent racked up any miles with CM as I wanted to reach Gold on UA before collecting CM miles. I only just reached that, so my first CM flights will be next weekend to TGU on AV through SJO.

Looking to redeem 7.5 for a Colombia-Venezuela flight. If you want the Saver Award price it has to be on Copa flights only. So forget about using ConnectMiles' miles outside the Americas.

The ConnectMiles award chart for *A awards is almost identical to UA's *A award chart. For example, 140K RT N. America to Europe or 160K RT N. America to S. Asia. Not exactly a bargain, but same as you would pay through Mileage Plus.
