Are old miles different?
I don't fly Continental much these days, but I have a modest balance that dates from the Eastern era plus some miscellaneous later CO activity. I know that in some programs, legacy miles are subject to different redemption rules. I found this out the wrong way, after burning precious old miles under new rules, and vowed never to do that again....So now I'm asking: are my CO miles any different from current earnings, and if so, how do I find out what the rules are?
Thanks!! p.s. I did scan the master thread and also try to search, but apparently I wasn't creative enough to find the magic words that would make the correct posts appear.... |
Miles are miles for redemption, new or old. The only difference is that some miles (new or old) count as EQMs for yearly or million miler status, and some don't.

2. Nothing different to speak of.

When I resurrected my CO account last year, it consisted strictly of my EA EQM's which transferred over. They all counted towards my MM status, as well as RDM's.
