I was totally surprised last night (8/5) when I saw the plane sitting at our gate at SFO. It does look very retro parked next to our other aircrafts. I went inside and it looks just like all the other planes except for the nice plaque on the wall explaining the reason for the retro paint job.
Of course we took pictures of ourselves standing next to the old logo.

Do we know where it will be flying next?
As you waiting for your flight, did you overhear others wondering why they were going on such an "old" plane? They must have been surprised when they walked on.
Some of you may recall my question a few months ago about what to expect in Y from EWR-PTY. Well, imagine my surprise (and excitement) when I realized we'd be taking the retrojet! It took quite a while to explain to my fiancee what all the fuss was about, and when I asked a FA about the employees voting for the livery, she had no idea what I was talking about and didn't even know she was on the retrojet. DirecTV was fun until we lost the signal over Havana. Fun experience^

CO today announced on twitter today where this plane would be flying. Perhaps they'll do this on a regular basis.
