What does CO stock look like?
I was thinking of converting one of my shares of CAL to a paper certificate to frame and throw up on a wall. But I couldn't find any images online of what the stock currently looks like. Does anyone have actual certificates... and would it be worth it to convert a share over to paper for framing?

My stock is similar to the photo. It's boring blue and instead of the center hunks there is a blond woman, in a 50 style dress sitting by a globe with a drawning of a plane flying by.
Not worth framing. |

I actually really like my framed blue certificate--it makes a nice conversation piece in the office if nothing else, and IMHO it looks great!

Just frame a piece of toilet paper, it is about the same value. :D (as long as you don't use two-ply)

How do you buy stock?
How does an individual purchase a small amount of CO stocks/shares?
Not possible with my 403b plan! |

The bond image looks like these guys, only without the chemical company accessories.
American Bank Note produces most of these certificates and reuses the clip art a lot. Here's the stock certificate. If you do explore the Bureau of Corporate Allegory at Lileks.com, be aware that some of the next/back links are reversed. Lileks is great at making fun of American culture, but not so good at HTML. |
