Advance check-in
 

Although I have swiped my passport at the kiosks in the past and have GAs manually load my details I am still unable to check-in online. This problem is only on international flights.
I know documentation needs to be confirmed but I wish my name would appear on the upgrade list when I try to check-in on line.
Can I check-in at the airport 24 hours in advance with a gate agent as there are no kiosks at my usual origin. FPO?

You still will be checked in at T-24 and should show up on the upgrade list, it just means that you won't have a BP yet until they "verify" your info. (whatever that means, its happened to me and all they did was look at my passport)

Just a small inconvenient stop at the ticketing desk before you proceed with your travels.

IME, if this occurs you are NOT checked-in and will NOT appear on the upgrade list. You will have to proceed to the airport and check-in at the kiosk.
