Series 8B Reward: HKG-SYD-HKG in

Series 8B Reward: HKG-SYD-HKG in
I just booked a roundtrip from HKG-SYD in J using KE, and was debited 120k miles per seat for 240k total.
Based on this previous post, see the link below, I was under the impression that it was going to be 70k per seat or 140k total as a Series 8B reward (North Asia to South Asia on a SkyTeam partner other than CO or NW). Why is that not the case?
COInsider was pretty clear about it and the charts look pretty simple, too. Do I have any recourse here? Should I dial-an-agent until I get one who refunds me the difference?

What does the reservation confirmation say the reward code is?
If you do "view receipt" it should show something like this:
OnePass Miles Debited/
Reward Used:
150,000/CS6M-DG6
That should hep you figure out how they decided what to charge you. Or just call back and ask why it is being charged as an 8 instead of an 8B since you think KE is supposed to be 8B.
