PC Gate Pass - what security line?

Assuming a non-traveling member can get a gate pass to go to the President's Club, can one then use the elite security line? Is a CO Gold or Silver status card enough (or even needed) to go through the elite line? Or what is the best way to do this?
Thanks.

Use the line that your actual status affords you. Have a card in hand should they harass you, but generally I just ignore the non-TSA folks pretending to "work" the lines.

I will also mention that they don't print Elite Access on any gate passes so if you bring in guest make sure that they are with you when you go through security if you have access to such lines.

Thanks for your comments. I'll be trying this at CLE during a normally-busy period in a couple of weeks.

Note that the folks at EWR finally have the system down now. I suspect CLE also are used to seeing Gate Passes. The TSA does not know it is a gate pass to go to the PC. There are other reasons for issuing a gate pass. They are used to seeing them and to a TSA person, a gate pass is the same as a ticket. They will just look at it, check your ID, initial it, and move you on the the scanner lines.

It is a painless process to use gate passes at CLE.

I've used the CLE elite lines with a PC gate pass and have never been questioned. Just in case I did have my elite card. Until recently you surrendered the gate pass as you went through the detector but on my most recent trip through the ID checker took it.

If you are a Pclub member wit no status, regualr lines, elite status, elite lines...

got hassled over it for about 5 seconds at IAH, the line dragon said for me to come back as I walked by but the TSA guy said ID and BP, gave it with Elite card and he waved it at the fuming lady. :)

Get your gate pass at the west end of the Continental counter (The sign says "Gate Passes"). Your only problem will be getting someone's attention since they are busy checking bags, etc. No problems once you get it.

Pass is required

Last week at the SAT counter the agent told me my P Club card and photo ID was all that was necessary to clear security but I asked for the printed pass anyway. She good naturedly agreed, suggested I test it at security. When I tested it at security by presenting my ID and club card they asked for the gate pass, said I would not be allowed through without it.
