Are increased carry-ons slowing things down?

No.

What about Channel 9? Too expensive and complex to do with the LiveTV system. Not on the horizon, but keeping an eye on it and will do it if they can do so cheaply.

Buy on board to supplement existing service?

No intention to change away from free meals at mealtime. Will consider some additional premium products like energy drinks or such, but keeping it open for now.

What about in-flight internet? Not impressed with the AirCell/Row44 adoption thus far, so doesn't look financially viable. The LiveTV contract doesn't preclude it from happening so there is potential, but not sure that it is going to happen at this point.

This is probably the last Mega-Do that will happen. They had to cap attendance and they don't want to have to do that. More focus on regional and smaller events that they allow more folks to participate but keep the feedback options available.

But they'll always be available to us.

Club reicprocity deals with *A move?

Can't negotiate lots of things until ST is done so no real details yet.

Broadly the goal is full reciprocity with RCCs.

What to do about the missing 787 capacity over the 2 year delay?

Looking at various things but don't want to buy old planes to fill the gap. Also demand might not really be there.

Where do they see demand over the next 12 months?

"Bleak." Fuel prices have come down to the tune of $2BN but not really sure where the bottom is on the economy. Feel well positioned with the fleet and setup they have.

Is their a view towards planes in the 70-100 seat range?

Scope clause, blah, blah, blah. The Q4 is a great plane.

I wasn't happy with that answer.

What makes me proudest? Coworkers.
What keeps LK awake at night? EWR.

The winds mess things up horribly from 83 to 65 slots hourly when anything at all goes wrong or I sneeze. Looking to find solutions to relieve the ATC situation.

Fees and whatnot? <Insert cheap shot for J.Edward here>

Fees cover inventory issues, not the actual cost of the activity. That's why they are changing the outside 21 day thing.

Any potential discounts for the LiveTV for various groups?

There will be lots of programs and discounts and promos out there. There will also be the availability to light the plane in IRROPS if appropriate.

Why no vouchers for fare drops?

CO hedges based on sold seats so they need the money you have already given them. And you don't pay more when it goes up.

What makes Platinum special anymore over golds? Like SWUs?

The upgrades is the real value. It doesn't work on regional flights, but it does in many other places.

What are the big goals?

"We'd love to find a way to get to SYD," but the planes are not there and not going to do it from LAX.

What happened on CO1404?

Ask the NTSB. They are good and methodical and that is key to keeping things safe.

Any sale rewards for Shanghai? Not now.

What can we do to make things better?

Keep providing feedback. It really is heard.

Anything about Million Segmenter program?

They don't have the tracking systems but will keep looking at options.

Anything for internet on international?

Boeing couldn't make Connexion operationally viable so it really is just too expensive to make happen. There are not options out there that appear viable.

Anything being done to make Y seats more comfortable? Not pitch but better padding or other similar options.

Limited choices but the lifetime is limited so always chances to change/upgrade the products. Also there are weight issues to contend with.

Any impact/influence on the TSA?

No control and very little influence. They work with the FSDs as much as they can, but there isn't much that can be done.

Come on CO, make it happen! I will never qualify for MM status, but have a decent chance if I could qualify by segments.

Any chance of revenue tickets cancel fees coming down in advance of travel?

Maybe. Folks 3+ weeks out are probably paying too much but closer in.

Anything for more than 75K fliers?

Nothing really out there that they see other than MM benefits right now.

Retro livery for 75 anniversary?

Yes. One of the 739s will be painted based on an employee choice.

Closing (LK):
Thanks to the CO team and to everyone for coming to the event.

What does the Sky/Star change mean post October 24?

Rewards redeemed will be honored. Miles will not be credited.

Lots of other systems and integration changes to happen. Nothing more than "promptly" as far as timing.
Great work sbm12 ^ ...but what does "Miles will not be credited" mean

" You cannot earn mileage on Skyteam flights after the Oct 24 Exit "

sbm12, thanks for providing the highlights. I started another thread about it, but glad you posted here.

Too bad about the Mega DOs. I hope they can do something for the locals here in IAH, in CLE, and in EWR.
