Why Does My Pre-Selected Seat Keep Changing on Check-in???!!!
 

Starting last month with flights from EWR to FLL, the seats I've selected when I buy my ticket, yes usually in the exit row, have been moved by the time I get to OLCI!! For my flight tomorrow for DO IV, I even checked this morning, before eligible for OLCI, and my seat was where I'd selected it way back.

I just got the email about OLCI, and my seat's been moved!!! No change in equipment is showing.

What is the point in me pre-selecting a seat if it won't hold once I get to OLCI??!!!

If your PNR is "MOGWAI," you should refrain from making seat assignment changes after Midnight.

I have had the same issue and reported it on the website issues master thread. I wanted 2A and it kept giving me 2B, i'd reselt and it would go back, finally it did stick on the final OLCI screen.

I don't make any seat assignment changes after I've picked one when buying a ticket because I'm usually happy with what I've chosen - typically an exit row or bulkhead. It's CO's system that keeps moving me around, especially away from the exit row seat I've chosen.

My trip to LA has had a few aircraft changes, and have had to adjust my seats around a few times...

Wish I had left my wife on my PNR, and only split it 7 days out... frustrating to have to do hers over the phone, as it won't let me do hers online due to non-elite status.

this has been a problem since they did their system changes last month. its unclear to me what triggers the reassignment, but its not a schedule or equipment change. i hope they get around to fixing it at some point

That happened to me today. Almost lost an exit row seat, but I noticed it T-24 and was able to grab it back.

I've had problems on two itins, but only on part of the segments. Not sure if it is the same thing, but I make my seat changes on all segments, hit continue, and notice that only 2 of the 4 segments were accepted. One of the segments didn't assign a seat at all and the other gave me a random seat.

This happened two different times. I called the Elite desk, and they took care of it. No one knew why it was happening.
